PRACTICE AND ALL IS COMING
PRACTICE AND ALL IS COMING
Yoga Deep Dive
6 week course
2 locations in California:
Yoga Shala Sacramento - starting September 6, 2025
Santosha Yoga Collective - starting September 30, 2025
You will learn techniques to deepen your understanding of an embodied practice, mindfulness and meditation, and ways to cultivate and control your own energy.
We will explore the philosophy behind Ashtanga Yoga (rooted in the tradition of Hatha Yoga) and applied anatomy - the use of modern anatomy as it applies to movement and alignment in postural yoga.
This course will be supported by your own inquiry and discussion, direct experience through guided practice and hands-on assists.
By the end of the course you will have built a stronger and more disciplined self-practice that you can take with you anywhere and adapt to any other style of yoga. (Asana or otherwise)

Meditation Workshop
Saturday Nov 1
12-3:00pm
Yoga Shala Sacramento
Sacramento, CA
This two hour meditation workshop explores two very different practices from Japanese Zen and Tibetan Buddhism. Understand the power of the Zen practice, the Path to the Inner Center, and learn how one can train the mind through disciplined focus while deepening one's awareness of breath, mind and body.
Then, open and stretch the body in a short thirty minute asana practice. Finish the workshop with the creative and inspiring practice of the Tibetan Compassion Method meditation. Leave the workshop feeling empowered, calm, and inspired to continue your own journey of mindfulness and loving compassion.
All levels: welcome
Investment: 55.-
Yoga teacher Jeff Frieders and musician & DJ Charlie Mandelid join forces to share their passions for yoga and music. Together they curate a 120 minute flow accompanied by an ambient DJ-set specifically designed for the flow.
The Practice:
Asana, pranayama, meditation and live mixed ambient cuts will deepen your experience and expand your mind beyond the regular weekly sadhana. Expect to be challenged and inspired, leave relaxed and tranquil. Enjoy dynamic balance postures, inversions, vinyasa, deep backbends, ethereal states of musical bliss, and the benefit of 2 hours of practice - body, breath and consciousness.
The Music:
Inspired by the Japanese minimalist genre of kankyō ongaku, or environment music—soft electronic melodies infused with the sounds of nature. The set will evolve from kankyō ongaku through a seamless flow of left-field electronica with elements from jazz, dub, minimal techno and hypnotic ambient.
We welcome you to join our flow. Donation based. Suggested donation: 222 - 444,-
